This tool is basically a wrapper for the PICT-Tool by Microsoft (a tool for Pairwise Independent Combinatorial Testing). So the tool itself is not included but can be downloaded from http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/5/5/f55484df-8494-48fa-8dbd-8c6f76cc014b/pict33.msi. For simple scenarios the built in bute force combinatorial algorithm may be enough for your use. The Generator is built to target .NET 2.0 at the moment, using Visual Studio 2008.

Source code checked in, #85696

Branched from $/TestCaseGenerator/Workingversion

Source code checked in, #85695

Created setup installer for Test Case Generator

Updated Release: 1.4.0.0 (Jan 23, 2012)

Some bug fixes in PICT - Integration.

In both cases we can specify the number of averages but if you want to use averaging with waveforms then you have to enable the tachometer. Thus, an example constraint that we would use with PICT is:
IF [spec/wfm] = "Waveform" AND [averages] <> 1 THEN [tachometer] = "On"

This is just a very basic example... configuring a basic spectrum/waveform measurement on our instruments can involve setting 12 or more parameters and there are several dependencies there (i.e. you can use an accelerometer sensor for Acceleration, Velocity and Displacement measurements but you can't use a displacement sensor for Acceleration or Velocity)
IF [sensor] = "Accelerometer" THEN [units] IN {"Accel", "Vel", "Displ"}
IF [sensor] = "Velocity" THEN [units] IN {"Vel", "Displ"}
IF [sensor] = "Displacement" THEN [units] = "Displ"

For us, we're wanting to generate a number of test cases to try different combinations of settings but the actual number of possible results (of interest) is very low... either the measurement is successful and the values measured are correct, or it fails.
Comments: ** Comment from web user: rameshramani **
I think we should also implement the option of [col1]<>[col2] to avoid duplicate values between 2 fields when i provide this option, I get error message.

Source code checked in, #64713

Changed project formats to VS2010

Source code checked in, #57274

Checked in by server upgrade

Reviewed: 1.3.0.0 (六月 20, 2010)

Rated 5 Stars (out of 5) - utill now, it has been perfect.

Reviewed: 1.3.0.0 (六月 20, 2010)

Rated 5 Stars (out of 5) - utill now, i has been perfect.

Reviewed: 1.2.0.0 (févr. 25, 2010)

Rated 5 Stars (out of 5) - Excelent, you did a great job!

Commented Issue: Ability to use PICT Weighting [11279]

Add option to weight parameters when we use Pict integration.
Comments: ** Comment from web user: charle001 **
It is already working. ..We just have to add some values in parenthesis and it works.
